The school day begins at 8:20 AM
Please do your best to have your child arrive at school on time. Students who choose to eat the school-provided breakfast should arrive by 8:00 A.M. to ensure enough time to eat. Additionally, when a child is late to school, it disrupts the entire class, and unfortunately, they miss valuable classroom instruction.
The school day ends at 2:40 PM. Pick up is on the corner of 26th and 9th.
For their safety, students will only be dismissed to parents, guardians, and/or individuals listed on the their "blue card." If there are changes in dismissal that day, please send a note with your child, call the school, or contact us via Remind or Class Dojo as soon as possible.
Recess and Lunch:
5th period daily
As per the Chancellor's Regulation, students play outside in most weather. Please make sure that your child is dressed appropriately for recess, and accordingly, for that day's forecast (layers and outerwear will make for an enjoyable and safe time.)
As you know, sugar can have a negative impact on children's behavior and ability to focus. Increased blood sugar levels are often followed by energy "crash" shortly thereafter.
To support your children's physical and mental health throughout the school day, please pack healthy snacks only. Please do not pack snacks like candy, gummies, fruit roll-ups, cookies, donuts and other sugary treats.
